Anthocyanin genes
  Anthocyanin is a water-soluble natural pigment and a flavonoid compound. It is the main coloring substance in plant petals, leaves, stems and fruits. The accumulation of anthocyanidin can protect plant chloroplasts from strong light. Damage, and has antioxidant effects. Different tissues and parts of Brassica crops often appear red or purple due to the accumulation of anthocyanins.
